Once again, we will hold our Mid-Autumn Festival at Bangor Public Library on Oct. 11th, from 10am to 2PM. We will have our favorite mooncake making, storytelling, performances, origami, activities for children, mahjong playing, and tea tasting for adults. Limited lunch and home made mooncakes will be for sale as well. All are welcome!
It will be a motorcade! Please join us for our Chinese New Year celebration! The Year of the Rat surely had been a roller coaster ride for many. Let’s line up and tour the streets of Bangor and Brewer, and say good bye to the Rat, and welcome The Year of the OX with hope and joy! Please decorate your car/vehicle for the celebration. Line up at Creative Arts Center parking lot (54 Wilson St Brewer, ME 04412) at 12:30PM, Parade starts at 1PM. Starting at the Creative Arts Center, take Wilson Street east all the way to Brewer Walmart parking lot; regroup, then turn around, take State Street cross the bridge into Bangor. Take State Street to Hogan Road, then Bangor Walmart parking lot, regroup; Take Stillwater St., then Broadway to Griffin Road, then Union St., left on to Main St. Go Through the downtown rotary, come back onto Main St. turn left unto Union St. cross bridge to Brewer, back to Creative Arts Center. It will take about 1 and half hour. Pre-registration is encouraged.
