Celebrate the Year of the Pig!

The 8th Chinese New Year Parade in Bangor is set for Saturday Feb. 9th in the Bangor Mall. Participation is free, audiences welcome! Line up will be 12:30PM at the JC Penney court; parade starts at 1PM. People from local Chinese community & businesses will dress up in traditional dresses, parading in the Mall. There will be crafts for children before the parade; Red Envelopes with small amount of money will be handed out to children, as part of the Chinese New Year traditions. Come Join us for the fun and learn a little about the culture.

Our 5th Mid-Autumn Festival slated for Sept. 22nd at Bangor Public Library, from 10am to 2 pm. Lion dances will announce the start of the event. There will be the most popular Moon Cake making and tasting, paper crafts for Children, Calligraphy and tea tasting for Adults. Lunch provided by local Asian restaurants, and performances from 11:30am to 1PM. There will be a gift drawing at the end of the event, we will be giving away gift certificates from Texas Road House and Thai2Go. We will also have small amount of moon cakes for purchase at the event.
